Salt Lake Cleaning & Leather was originally named Salt Lake Cleaning & Dyeing and was founded in 1895. As the clothing industry changed over the years- dying became increasingly risky, until eventually dyeing became obsolete and the name of the company was changed to Salt Lake Cleaning & Leather.

The business remains in the original building located at 265 East 900 South, near Downtown Salt Lake City. It is one of the largest dry cleaning establishments in the state of Utah.
As the company's name reflects, Salt Lake Cleaning & Leather is more than dry cleaners. For the past 45 years we have processed a large majority of the leather cleaning for the state of Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. We wholesale out to other dry cleaners through mail order and pick up and delivery. In 1992 we purchased our first Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning machine and have been cleaning blinds with better results for less cost than our competition.
The quality of our work is evident by our customers that we keep. After 100 years in business we now have third generation families consistently being their cleaning to us. We have a strong commitment to quality, service, and value.
Mike Hightower has come aboard to own and operate Salt Lake Blind Cleaning in 1997. His commitment to family, service, and integrity is unequaled and is evident by the way he lives his life and runs his business. His dedication is evident by the quality of work that he does and the service that he provides, allowing service to such businesses as Mark Miller Toyota and Pontiac, 3M Corporation, Salt Lake County Government Center, and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
